SAVE THE DATE!!!! HARRISON’S 45TH REUNION JULY 15 AND 16, 2011 Dear Warriors, It may seem as if it’s a year early to you, but we want to make certain that you have plenty of time to mark your calendars! Can you believe that we’re nearing 45 years since we left the halls of Harrison High School as fresh-faced teenagers ready to take on the world? (It’s true ~ we did the math.) There were so many new things to learn about and experience. Why, there was even talk of putting a man on the moon! There was a “conflict” half a world away, and the British were invading our music. (There was something about them, though. That long hair and all!) But never fear ~ the important things were still intact: the Double R (are there better onion rings anywhere?); the Daughter; the Surf Club (Who’s playing ~ the Villains? Or should we go to the Outside Inn to hear The Crescents?); Hartke Pool; West Side Nut Club Fall Festival (Mmmmm ~ candy apples!). Gas was $.25 a gallon ~ we could cruise all night on $1.00. Time passed, and our lives changed, but somehow in our hearts and minds we still think & feel as if we’re 18. Bet you can still sing along with all of your favorite songs, word fo r word! Many of us have gathered together to reminisce about those Good Ol’ Days, and we had a wonderful time! Others have said we’d “wait till the next one.” Well, here’s The Next One, and we’d love to see YOU ~ whether again or for the first time! So, mark your calendars.
